The multinational Flamingo Group trusts the Granada-based consultancy Satour with its strategy of promotion in Europe and the consolidation of a regular route of Vietnamese tourists in Andalusia.
Granada is much more than a first class tourist destination. Her experience in the sector as a manager and promoter also places her in the spotlight of multinationals that want to make the leap to Spain as a gateway to European tourism. This has been the case with the consultancy firm Satour, whose specialisation in tourism marketing and the Indochinese market has enabled it to launch the first regular route for Vietnamese tourists in Granada and also for one of the country’s top three operators in terms of passenger volume to choose the capital as the venue for its European division.
It is the multinational Flamingo Group, composed of the operator Hanoi Red Tours, Flamingo Resorts, a developer, builder and investment manager with over 1,500 employees. Flamingo Dai Lai Resort, with more than 130 hectares and almost 500 luxury villas, is one of its most outstanding sites, and houses an open-air contemporary art museum. A sustainable tourism project that will also have the largest vertical garden in the world from next September. It is a garden perfectly integrated into the building, which contributes to reducing the environmental impact on its surroundings, and has received more than 40 international awards for architecture and design.
The fact that one of the most important companies in the sector in Vietnam has chosen Granada as a strategic location for its growth in Europe “is the result of years of knowledge of the Vietnamese and Asian market, of its preferences, customs and demands; but also of an exhaustive promotion of Spain-Portugal as a destination in the main international fairs of the sector”, explains Roberto M. Álvarez, CEO of Satour, for whom this agreement “also shows that Spain is a reference point for success as a tourism manager for other countries”.
Satour Travel Boutique also offers two other lines of business. On the one hand, it is a DMC agency (providing services for other companies in the sector in Spain, Portugal and Morocco) specialising in halal tourism and, on the other hand, it is the first agency in Granada oriented towards the `making up’ of exclusive 100% personalised travel experiences.
